Coordinated EntryIf you are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of losing your housing, the Coordinated Entry (CE) system is the first step to connecting with available housing resources in Johnson and Washington Counties. Coordinated Entry is designed to ensure that everyone has fair and equal access to housing assistance through one standardized process. During a Coordinated Entry assessment, you'll be asked questions about your current housing situation, needs, and strengths. This information helps identify the housing and support programs that may be the best fit for you. Completing a Coordinated Entry assessment does not guarantee housing, but it is required for many permanent housing programs.
Shelter House serves as the Designated Lead Agency and a main access point for Coordinated Entry in our region. We work closely with local partner agencies to coordinate referrals and connect individuals and families with available housing opportunities as they become available. To get started with Coordinated Entry, call Shelter House at 319-351-0326 and press 1 to be connected with a Coordinated Entry Specialist. If you are in immediate need of emergency shelter, call 319-351-0326 and press 2 to connect with our Emergency Shelter line. |
